2022 Northeast Aquatic Biologists Conference
The Stone Environmental team will co-present at the Northeast Aquatic Biologists Conference in Portland, Maine, March 2-4.
Stone hydrologist Meghan Arpino and University of Vermont's Ashton Kirol will present: Using a 3D Coupled Hydrodynamic-Aquatic Ecosystem Model to Evaluate Alternatives for Controlling Internal Phosphorus Loading in Missisquoi Bay.
This novel integrated study provides a holistic perspective of available management options to suppress internal phosphorus loading and cyanobacteria blooms in Missisquoi Bay, and how such an approach could be applied to other systems struggling with both internal and external nutrient loading.
