Prior to joining Stone, Serena had five years of experience as a field scientist with a focus on watershed monitoring. Serena also worked as a project manager for Yale University on an NSF funded multi-institutional grant examining dissolved organic carbon cycling in the Connecticut River. She holds a B.S. in Geology from SUNY Geneseo and an M.S. in Environmental Science from the University of Maryland. She also volunteers for the United States Geological Survey in support of the long-term monitoring of a small catchment basin in eastern Vermont.
