Marco Propato, Ph.D. Environmental Modeler
Marco has worked as an environmental modeling scientist in research and consulting for over 20 years. He has been involved in a variety of projects including modeling of coastal changes and marsh response to accelerated sea level rise, bioaccumulation studies, monitoring design of drinking water quality and quantity and water resource assets management. He holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Science, has worked in France and Brazil, and serves as an independent expert for the European Commission. He has experience in data collection and analysis, technical development of conceptual models, system design, cost/benefit evaluation, statistical analysis and stakeholder engagement. At Stone, Marco is involved in exposure modeling of agrochemicals in water and air, as well as modeling of emerging contaminates in the environment, including PFAS.
