Clean Water Database Planning for the Friends of the Mad River
Stone is supporting the Friends of the Mad River (FMR) in planning and developing a comprehensive Clean Water Database to improve how clean water projects are documented, evaluated, and prioritized across the Mad River watershed. The project includes designing a robust geospatial database and creating an integrated field data collection system using ArcGIS Survey123. Stone is working with FMR to develop a Quality Assurance Project Plan (QAPP) that outlines standardized procedures, metadata requirements, and long‑term data management strategies to ensure consistency, accuracy, and inter-operability with state and regional data sources.
Building on this framework, Stone will configure a user-friendly ArcGIS Experience Builder interface to visualize project data, support field verification activities, and guide decision-making. Field testing and verification will help refine workflows and strengthen the reliability of the tools prior to final reporting. The project concludes with the development of a prioritization report, supported by clearly defined indicators and a structured reporting environment. This integrated geospatial data system will equip FMR with a cohesive platform for tracking project status, assessing opportunities, and informing future clean water investments across the watershed.
