Esri Honors Stone for Exceptional Use of Story Maps
We’re excited to announce that Stone has been selected as the winner of the 2017 Esri Partner Conference Best Use of Story Maps Award! This award recognizes Stone’s capabilities in data representation and visualization through our creative use of story maps to support area-wide planning efforts. The award was accepted on March 6, 2017 at Esri's conference in Palm Springs, California, by David Healy, Vice President and Senior GIS Applications Specialist of Stone.
The award is on behalf of our work developing the Bennington Downtown Area-Wide Plan (Interactive Story Map) to provide the the community of Bennington with an informative, interactive explanation of the content contained in the Bennington Downtown Area-Wide Plan and to summarize the findings and recommendations of the broader planning efforts. This Interactive Story Map walks the reader through the history and redevelopment alternatives of the downtown area of Bennington, Vermont and helps various stakeholders understand the history and complexities of an area, and see alternatives to redevelopment play out in a visual way.
