Stone updates APCOAT habitat modeling tool
Stone is excited to announce the release of version 2.1 of the Automated Probabilistic Co-Occurrence Assessment Tool (APCOAT). This free tool, designed for use by conservation groups, fish and wildlife agencies, and pesticide registrants, assists with protection of threatened and endangered species by leveraging machine learning to model spatial distribution of habitats, and the spatial co-occurrence of those habitats with pesticide usage. With 2.1, users gain access to expanded pools of environmental predictor variables used to model species habitats, and high-resolution flow tracing to model the movement of pesticides through aquatic environments.
