Stone Environmental - A Leader in Field Dissipation Studies

Stone’s experienced team of scientists, engineers, and project managers support clients by successfully collecting high-quality field data, employing sophisticated quantitative data analysis and modeling where necessary, and presenting results in a relevant way. Stone’s team continually strives for process improvement to provide registration support that is second to none. One area that we continue to support our clients is with guideline studies, specifically field dissipation.

How can we help?

Stone scientists conduct USEPA and NAFTA guideline studies for terrestrial field dissipation (OPPTS 835.6100) and aquatic field dissipation (OPPTS 835.6200) studies to support the registration of crop protection products for a wide variety of use patterns throughout North America.

Overall project management and study directorship

Stone strongly commits to communicating with you about your project from early stages through the final report. We adhere to realistic timelines; we do not over-promise and under-deliver. From our experience with these projects, we know what to expect. We clearly define the scope and budget of a project from the outset and provide continuous updates on study progress because we understand the importance of meeting submission deadlines and managing project costs.

Study design and protocol development

We can provide study designs to support a wide variety of formulations and use patterns, whether a standard broadcast bare soil application, an aquatic dissipation study or even treated seed applications.  We can include various modules in your study to cover potentially important dissipation routes like volatilization, leaching, runoff, or plant uptake. We design and write study protocols that ensure you get the exact data you need.

Selecting the right study location and partners

The right study partners ensure study success. We have valuable partnerships with agricultural professionals and analytical laboratories nationwide that consistently provide data of the highest quality. Given these partnerships, we can find the most qualified research farm in the target use region and select a qualified analytical laboratory. We can also find sites which are in shared ecoregions with Canada or are similar to European ecoregions. We save you time and resources by recommending partnerships based on decades of combined experience.

Wrapping it all up

At Stone, we pride ourselves on generating high-quality reports on time. We have extensive internal quality control procedures that ensure concise, accurate reports backed up by our experienced in-house Quality Assurance Unit, which means data are reviewed and inspected in reports for USEPA GLP compliance in a timely fashion. At the conclusion of the study, raw data are archived with clear organization for ease of retrieval and reconstruction.
